Students will watch various portion of The Dark Knight and draw comparison between the film and Beowulf.

Defining the Villain:

1. What do the criminals know about the Joker?


2. After viewing the Joker in action, what can we determine about his character?



3. Before the Joker leaves, the bank manger starts ranting about what crooks used to be like. How does this relate to the Joker?



Defining the Hero:

1. After watching Batman’s action sequence what can be determined about his character?




Dining Out with Bruce Wayne:

1. Elected Officials Vs Vigilantes: who should do the job?




2. Dangers of being the hero: Harvey Dent says, “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.” What does he mean by that?





3. What heroes have we seen this happen to?





4. After the Joker meets with his people and Bruce meets with his friends, what do the conversations they had have in common?


Why so Serious?
1. After watching the Joker run around for an hour of film, we finally get the back-story to his scars; however, he tells two different stories. Why does he do this?




Cat and Mouse Interrogation:

1. Why does the Joker say Batman completes him? How is Batman completed by the Joker?

5. Every Epic/Jesus Hero has to face the Devil? How does Beowulf and Batman do this?
